You can take the much talked about ”6.001 - Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs” course, from MIT, for free! Just combine the more than twenty hours of lecture on video with the free html textbook and start studying. Be kind, use the Torrents!

Wow, the concept of Eager is very interesting. I can’t imagine a programmer that wouldn’t find something like this useful. Watch the video, ignore the old Mac gayness.

This new show has some potential. I’ll be adding it to the Waits Family DVR or TiVo and giving it a go.
F/X has impressed me and is fully lit up on my radar screen. They ran a show awhile ago called Over There that was great; unfortunately, my opinion and viewership must have been in the minority, because it didn’t last too long. It’s unfortunate more eyes didn’t see it – it really was quality TV.
Quality TV is rare. And what little there is has to be watched and take off immediately, because networks have very little patience these days. Firefly, of course, is a prime example of such stupidity. In that case, Fox ran the show out of order, before the pilot, and didn’t even finish it!!! At least we got a sweet movie out of it in Serenity.
